MalloMe Portable Camping Stove
Review:
The MalloMe Portable Camping Stove is a light weight and compact travel stove. The design is similar to the MSR Pocket Rocket and Pocket Rocket 2 design. The MalloMe camping stove weighs just a few ounces and has a compact size of 1.8" 2.4" x 3.2" when closed.
The MalloMe Portable Camping Stove can collapse the pot supports for easier transport in the provided carrying case. The pot support arms are small and does not provide great support. The manufacturer says this camping stove can be used with pots up to 7" in diameter, but caution should be exercised when using a pot larger than 5" in diameter. The camping stove does not provide stabilizers under the fuel canister to keep the unit steady.
The MalloMe camping stove also provides a valve to control the flame. The flame can be turned up for heavy cooking or turned down for simmering. For maximum efficiency, setting the flame at 50% (half turn) is recommended. This camping stove includes a built-in Piezo ignition, making it extremely easy to light the stove.
To setup, position the four pot supports into place and attach the camping stove to the fuel canister. Then turn the control valve and simply press the built-in ignition. This camping stove works with any 7/16 thread and EN 417 compatible butane/butane-propane fuel canister from Jetboil, MSR and others.
