Review:

The Terra Hiker Backpack Stove is an ultralight and portable camping stove, weighing in at 8.5 oz.  This travel stove can fold down to fit in the provided carrying case, measuring 8.5 cm x 7 cm x 11.5 cm.  The lightweight and compact design is great for backpackers and campers wishing to travel light.

The Terra Hiker Backpack Stove connects to the fuel canister with a tube, allowing the stove to rest directly on the surface.  This reduces the overall height of the stove, making it less likely to tip over.  The stove's pot supports stretches 5.9" in diameter.  Combined with the lower height, the stove should accommodate pots up to 7" in diameter.

This stove is designed to use isobutane fuel canisters, similar to the Jetboil and MSR IsoPro fuel canisters.  The stove has a rotary burner design that vents the flames at an angle.  This provides a larger burn area for the flame, allowing the heat to spread better on the pot.  The camping stove has an adjustment knob to control the heat and a built-in piezo ignition switch.

Pros:

  • Lightweight and compact
  • Built in ignition
  • Control valve to adjust flame
  • Protective case included

Cons:

  • Hard to reach adjustment knob
