Review:

The UST Folding Stove 1.0 is a compact, lightweight travel stove that uses solid fuel tablets.  When closed, this folding stove measures 4.5" x 3.75" x 1" and weighs 3.8 oz.  The small size fits easily into standard camping gear and provides another option for a travel or emergency stove.

This folding stove burns solid fuel tablets to provide a cooking flame.  The solid fuel cubes can be purchased at camping stores and general sporting good stores.  During transport and storage, the fuel cubes can be placed inside the stove to save space.  The fuel cubes tend to emit a foul smell, so a ziplock bag is recommended to seal off the fuel cubes.

To operate the UST folding stove, simply open the stove, place a fuel tablet into the center, and light the fuel tablet.  It is recommended to use a lighter or match to light the fuel tablets as a flint stick might not be enough.

Pros:

Cons:

  • Fuel cubes only lasts about 10 minutes
  • Fuel cubes may emit foul smells
  • Heat output is low
